The 2013 For the Love of Clearwater Art Exhibit is a collaboration with the City of Clearwater using the concepts brought to us by Peter Kageyama, author of For the Love of Cities.
WE WANT TO SEE YOUR ART! – Professionals, Amateurs, Hobbyists and Everyone !!! Please share your Artwork / Photography / Sculpture / etc that shows why You Love Living, Working And / Or Playing in the city of Clearwater, FL. Submit through this website and you will be considered to be included in the “For The Love of Clearwater” Gallery Art Show.
When:
Submit your Entry by June 7th. The show will be on display from June 26, 2013 – September 13, 2013.
Where:
Carnegie and Osceola Galleries within the Clearwater Main Library on Osceola will showcase 2D and 3D artwork showing your LOVE of Clearwater
City Municipal Services Building, 100 South Myrtle, Downtown Clearwater will showcase 2D artwork showcasing Interesting Architecture of Clearwater,
Why:
To promote interest, partnership and inspiration in and of Clearwater, FL. Plus we want to promote our local artists. We know that there is so much to Love in Clearwater it cannot be contained in only one place.
The Opening Event:
Mark Your Calendar NOW for Wednesday June 26th from 6-9PM at the Clearwater Main Library. Peter Kageyama will be on hand talking about his book. Meet and Greet with the Artists and enjoy refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.
Artist Call
If you’re interested in participating, please fill out the form below and submit an image of your work. Each person is allowed to submit up to three pieces. Art will be chosen based on how well the artist follows the theme – and the availability of space. We encourage you to not submit anything larger than 20″ x 30″ to allow for maximum number of participants.

Participant Rules:
• All entries submitted must be the original work of the submitting artist/photographer
• “For the Love of Clearwater” is open to amateur, professional and student artist/photographers who are Clearwater residents, work in or go to school in Clearwater.
• Art/Photos must be inspired by Clearwater, FL.
• Entry form must be filled out In Full.
• 2D finished art should not exceed 20″ x30″.
• 3D finished art should fit within a 34″ high display case.
• There is limited space for floor standing sculpture.
• Artwork can be submitted 72dpi, 1000 pixels across. Questions? Call 727-797-1199.
• All submissions must be received by June 7th to be eligible.
• Exhibit organizers reserve the right to disqualify or deny any entrant.
• There will be awards and prizes!

June 18th – Deadline for submitting artwork or sending files if you want Canvas Zoo to print
Any supplied artwork MUST be ‘ready to hang’, meaning securely wired.
We reserve the right to surcharge anyone submitting art not ‘ready to hang’
June 24th – Hanging of artwork, we welcome help
June 26th – Opening Ceremonies and Reception from 6pm-9pm
