Balk designs and fabricates every piece of jewelry from raw materials from his studio in Historic Ybor City, Florida. Dan´s expanding Spring Collection is for sale and on exhibit at The Singing Stone. ´b.lieve´, Spring Collection of Contemporary Fine Art Jewelry by Dan Balk
Nataly Balk - (813) 247-2787 |
"b.lieve" is an expanding exhibition of jewelry designer and goldsmith, Dan Balk´s Spring collection.
Using some of the most desirable materials produced by our earth, Balk juxtaposes these natural elements of gold, silver and select diamonds and gemstones with futuristic and urban shapes and designs. These unconventional wearable sculptures celebrate the individual within an increasingly homogenized and aesthetically neutral technological society.
Balk designs and fabricates every piece of jewelry from raw materials from his studio at Singing Stone in historic Ybor City, Florida. Original Blend Art Show at Moonfish Bay Gallery
Deborah Dabinet - (727) 742-2903 |
Time:Wed-Fri 11-5, Sat 10-1, Sun-Tues by Appt.
Fees:Free Admission and lots of free Parking
Fine Art at the Beach? Absolutely! Moonfish Bay Gallery & Artist Studio in Madeira Beach invites you to sample our "Original Blend" Show featuring a delicious blend of fine art and artists. Holly Bird (honored by the Roycrofters at Large Assoc. as a Roycrofters at Large Printmaking Artisan for the 3rd year in a row) presents her intaglio copper plate and lino block prints. Wayne Dabinet creates sculptural works from steel with a past. Each work projects its own distinct personality and offers an energy that is much more than the sum of its parts. Popular workshop teacher Charlotte DiGennaro offers a selection of people portrayed in various water media. Line and color combine to project a high level of energy in all the pieces. Lourdes Rosas-Rasdall uses water media to capture the spirit and energy of nature. Giraffe, zebra, and elephant mingle with more local types like sweet countenanced sea turtles, and fish. Her collages are also derived from nature and project an upbeat and colorful vibe. Lourdes also finds expression for her love of light and color in fused glass works for our show. Rounding out our blend is the photography of Richard Stewart which combines rich bold colors and striking images from around the world. Richards photographic viewpoint has been shaped by his extensive travel and immersion in various cultures. "Original Blend" runs thru July 27th. Located at 218 150th Avenue (Tom Stuart Causeway), the gallery has lots of free parking in back, in the lot 1/2 block north, or 1/2 block south in the large lot to the side of the Amish Creamery (YUM!). Open Wed-Fri 11-5, Sat 10-1, Sun-Tues by Appt. Closed July 4th.
